“ Great place. Make reservations or wait 45 minutes or so which we had to do. Still you can grab a beer or drink and hang while you wait. Would go again. Service was not as responsive as we would have liked. Eg. we got food before napkins and utensils. Waitress never came over to see if we needed anything like salt etc. the manager who brought over food was like a robot.... Just drop off turn around and leave. I tried to get his attention for forks etc and he just walked away. With that said it was ok and views were good. ”
“ Absolutely wonderful food. We ordered the ribeye steak medium rare and the philly cheese steak bao...these sweet little pork bun tacos. We also had black pepper red crab appetizer with toast spears. We also had 2 beverages and some cheesecake! Yummy! ”
“ This was our best meal since arriving in Alaska! The food was perfectly prepared, presentation was beautiful. My husband had fish and chips and it was the best either one of us has ever had- great texture and flavor. I had the Salmon plank with veggies (asparagus) and both were perfectly prepared. Definitely worth a stop next time you come to Homer! ”
“ We sat in the corner couches and it was such a cozy vibe. The view of the bay and the bald eagles so close were such a treat. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was phenomenal! We got the bone marrow with steak taretare and crab Mac n cheese. I look forward to coming back here! ”
“ I am a tour director and I send guests here all the time. Every time I have been here or sent guests, the food, service and drinks have been amazing! When I take groups to Homer, we are usually there for two nights and several times, my guests have said they enjoyed the Kannery so much that they were going to go back there the second night as well. Another thing that I really appreciate is that they not only make delicious cocktails, but they have non-alcoholic beer and make delicious mocktails so I can confidently recommend this place even to people who don’t drink. If you ever find yourself in Homer, don’t skip out on visiting this local gem! Whether you eat meat, or you are pescatarian, vegetarian, or even vegan, they have delicious options for you! ”
“ Fantastic views and great staff. Not sure about a beverage? Ask questions and be delighted that you did. The sockeye plank & the Mak n cheese are super tasty! Open kitchen - yep you can watch- tons of seating & really friendly folks. CLEAN ”
“ The food and atmosphere at The Kannery are top tier. We had the crab wok and shrimp dumplings and the flavors and freshness were 10/10. But the real star of the show was the cocktails. The ones on the menu are great—but the inventive, on the spot, creative concoctions dreamed up by duo Althea and Kylie were insanely good. Not only were they slinging cocktails with efficiency and ease they were a delight to sit across for our meal. They didn’t mind going off script—in fact, they delighted in the idea of dreaming up something different for every patron at the bar. We loved their energy and wish we were sticking around a few more nights to come back for more. Don’t sleep on this spot! And if you’re lucky, grab a seat at the bar. ”
“ High end dining with a relaxed atmosphere. We had live music when we went, which made it lively and interactive. The food is top tier. Fresh from local markets. My husband loved the alder smoked salmon. ”
